When you know what your recipients like, make sure you are putting it in front of them. They will appreciate it and repay you by engaging with your emails.
Making your campaigns specific to how your recipients behave is quite straightforward, once you have devised a strategy.
If someone has opened your campaign and clicks to indicate their interest, for example if you are a toy shop and you have sent emails out about various special offers and whilst looking at your reporting you can see that 'Joe' has clicked on boys toys links in some of your email campaigns. When you send your next email out, you can use this behavioural data to send a more targeted email and encourage him to continue engaging with your campaigns.
