Which fonts are safe to use, and why can't you just use any font you want in an email?
Why can't I use any font I want in emails?
If you are looking for a list of email safe fonts, you have come to the right place!
A desktop email client can only display fonts that are installed on a PC, they are unable to recognise new fonts that you might be using in your day to day printed marketing materials.
Different operating systems will show a wide range of fonts, but just because you have them installed on your pc doesn't mean your recipients will. Some operating systems will have completely different fonts installed on them by default.
The fonts that we have listed below are the most commonly used.
- Arial
- Arial Black
- Century Gothic
- Courier New
- Georgia
- MS Sans Serif
- Palantino Linotype
- Tahoma
- Times New Roman
- Trebuchet MS
- Verdana
If you have a particular font that you want to use, for example your company logo then add it as an image in your email campaigns, just remember to add an image title as not everyone will have their images switched on.
