Gmail clips email messages that are over 102k and provides a link to view the entire message.
Gmail and Yahoo consider emails that are over 102k to be too long. The email client truncates the email and displays a link to 'view entire message'. This can not only cut off some of your message and your call to action, but your tracking code too, which determines if your campaign has been opened or not. Clipping can also hide the 'unsubscribe' link, which you need to be compliant with Data Protection law.
To reduce the size of your email you can:
- Reduce text by adding links to 'read more' on your website
- Remove unnecessary styles and line breaks
